    Temporary Part Time Member Solutions Representative (Teller)  - 2 vacant positions


    Under the general supervision of the Manager, Member Solutions, this position will provide a full range of services to members including responding to members’ inquiries, analyzing members’ needs and utilizing the product or service which best meets those needs. This position will cross sell credit union products, process members’ transactions (cash and other general services) and process members' requests for account updates and closures.


    This position will support our branches in Hamilton, Ancaster, and Stoney Creek, depending on staffing levels. Part Time MSRs can expect to work, on average, 18-24 hours per week.


    $22.93/hour - minimum starting rate

    • To provide courteous, accurate and efficient service to members.
    • Identifies and fills members’ financial needs; cash/cheque deposits and withdrawals, transfers between accounts, bill payments, money orders, placing cheque orders, traveller’s cheques, process term deposit transactions and RRSP subsequent deposits, assists members with stop-payments on their chequing account; assists with certification of cheques drawn on member accounts; process request for Membercards; accepts applications for Mastercard Global Payment Card and Mastercard Credit Card.
    • Communicate all services available to members and cross-sell the services of the Credit Union.
    • Assist with achieving the goals and objectives of the branch relating to Business Development.
    • Balance cash drawer daily within 15-minute requirement and ensure the security of cash holdings are within the approved limits.
    • Proofing and replenishment of the A.B.M.
    • All other duties as assigned




    Understanding of credit union's business objectives, philosophies and principles; credit union products and services at 80% minimum “working” knowledge proficiency; basic mathematical calculations; credit union policies and procedures relating to banking requirements; credit union computer system and telephone system; and credit union inter-department functions.



    Service and selling, verbal and interpersonal skills, accuracy in data input and problem solving.



    • O.S.S.G.D. plus 2-3 job related experience or
    • Some college plus one year job related experience.
    • CUIC Accreditation Program (Credit Union Institute of Canada)
    • Willingness to participate in CUIC General Studies Program
